Our spring MODEL students!

We had so many in our class this year that could have been a MODEL student! I had to be VERY picky when choosing this spring's two winners!

To be a MODEL student, you have to:
make positive comments

Congratulations goes out to Camden Kercher and Isabelle Abshire!! And, our fall t-shirt winners each won a breakfast for continuing to be MODEL students. Great job, kids!

New Indoor Recess Games!

And just in time! Jordan gave us a Target gift card for Christmas and I used it to buy some new inside recess games! Because of the cold, we had inside recess today so it was near perfect timing! We spent some time learning how to play Uno, Jenga, and Yahtzee. Then, I let them have at it! They had a blast... especially that Jenga group. Whoa doggy is that a noisy game! :)

Polar Express Day!

Merry Christmas! As I wait for my husband to get home from work & then Santa to come to our house, I thought I'd get our Polar Express Day photos up on the blog. :) Enjoy!

'Twas the Night Before Christmas pictures

I didn't get to take too many because they didn't want us taking pictures during the program. But here are a few pictures... look how nice everyone looks!

Dr. Contraction, to the Operating Room, please. Dr. Contraction.

Contractions. Taking two words and putting them together to make a shorter word by leaving out some letters. And don't forget to put an apostrophe in place of the missing letters!

We performed some minor surgery on our words today. We used our scalpels (scissors) to cut apart and take out the part of the word we don't need. Then we stitched it back up (with tape and staples) to make a shorter word. The last fix was to put a bandaid in the place where the apostrophe goes.

We have some GREAT surgeons in our class!!

Friday Photos!

Just a peek into our week... I didn't take too many photos, but we did our first science experiment on Thursday & I took quite a few pictures then! We also did a whole group picture since we were all dapper for school pictures. Enjoy!
